Taylor's Story
Hello, I’m Taylor Teddlie a young man who ended up on the dead-end road!
I was my own worst enemy. No, I didn’t just jump off the deep end in one day, and no, you will not find yourself hitting rock bottom overnight. The Devil will start small on you and catch you with your guard down.

My Story
A DEAD-END DESTINATION SHOWING A U-TURN WITH A PURPOSE
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”
Psalms 37:23 KJV
“And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
Luke 18:27 KJV
Life is a lot like a highway. We have the choice to control our destination, a destination we can try, in our own way, which will lead us to destruction — or the choice to put God in control which will lead to everlasting life. You may find yourself like I did going down the wrong road. It could be the hardest and longest road that hasn’t been nothing but a hopeless journey that leads to a dead end. With God being so merciful, loving, and being a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. I can tell you he offers a U-turn to not only a better life on earth, but most importantly, eternal life in Heaven. Don’t stop, don’t give up, don’t lose hope and your faith in God.
1 Peter 5:8
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”
I was running from my problems, just to find that I was causing more. There isn’t a drug, a pill, or a drink that will solve our problems. I was raised in an apostolic home, being a preacher's son my whole life, and still am to this day! I got out of church when I was 16, well my heart wasn’t in it anymore. I stopped acknowledging God, and it was then that I started flirting with the world!
By the time I was 23, I had already started smoking weed, cigarettes, and drinking alcohol. But never knew I would go down the road all of that led to. When I was 23, I messed my knee up, had to have surgery, and at that time I got addicted to pills. I didn’t care what kind as long as I felt the high. But the pills started to lose the effect they had on me, and a few short months afterward, I found myself addicted to crystal meth. I stayed addicted for a year and a half. Yes, I, Taylor Teddlie, raised in an apostolic, Holy Ghost-filled home — addicted. No one is exempt from the Devil and his lies! I was headed to Chicago, Illinois, to work on the railroad, and while I was driving, I received a phone call from someone who knew I wasn’t myself and something was up. She told me she loved me and was praying for me. In that moment, I broke down into tears, bawling my eyes out, and I told her my problem. I got off the phone, turned my truck around, and I went back to Mississippi, to my parent's house. I pulled up in their driveway at like 1am, and called to tell them to come outside. When they came to my truck, I told them I was addicted to crystal meth, laid my sack on the hood, and told them I needed help. Two days later, in 2018, I was in rehab where I stayed for 45 days. That’s really when God started dealing with me! It’s 2020 now, and let me say this, it has not been an easy journey! Living for God is not easy, but I must say with a praying family, friends, and the church, it’s possible. I’m living proof and a miracle of a prodigal that has come home! So whoever is reading this that has a lost prodigal child, let me tell you, don’t give up on God, because He hears your prayers, he sees your cries, and He has His hand on the situation! I pray this touches a heart and gives hope to the families who are praying for their prodigal. May God bless all of those families, and may God bless the Prodigal Ministry!
